Permutation patterns | Enumerative combinatorics
In the study of permutation patterns, there has been considerable interest in enumerating specific permutation classes, especially those with relatively few basis elements. This area of study has turned up unexpected instances of Wilf equivalence, where two seemingly-unrelated permutation classes have the same numbers of permutations of each length. (Wikipedia).

Permutation Groups and Symmetric Groups | Abstract Algebra
We introduce permutation groups and symmetric groups. We cover some permutation notation, composition of permutations, composition of functions in general, and prove that the permutations of a set make a group (with certain details omitted). #abstractalgebra #grouptheory We will see the

301.5C Definition and "Stack Notation" for Permutations
What are permutations? They're *bijective functions* from a finite set to itself. They form a group under function composition, and we use "stack notation" to denote them in this video.

Permutations and Combinations Tutorial
This video tutorial focuses on permutations and combinations. It contains a few word problems including one associated with the fundamental counting principle. Permutations are useful to determine the different number of ways to arrange something where as combinations is useful for deter

Alexandros Singh - Asymptotic Distribution of Parameters in Trivalent Maps and Linear Lambda Terms
Structural properties of large random maps and lambda-terms may be gleaned by studying the limit distributions of various parameters of interest. In our work we focus on restricted classes of maps and their counterparts in the lambda-calculus, building on recent bijective connections betwe
