Symbolic Cholesky decomposition

In the mathematical subfield of numerical analysis the symbolic Cholesky decomposition is an algorithm used to determine the non-zero pattern for the factors of a symmetric sparse matrix when applying the Cholesky decomposition or variants. (Wikipedia).
