Graph theory objects | Planar graphs
In graph theory, a peripheral cycle (or peripheral circuit) in an undirected graph is, intuitively, a cycle that does not separate any part of the graph from any other part. Peripheral cycles (or, as they were initially called, peripheral polygons, because Tutte called cycles "polygons") were first studied by , and play important roles in the characterization of planar graphs and in generating the cycle spaces of nonplanar graphs. Intermittent Planetary Mechanism
This mechanism produces a reciprocating movement, with the forward always longer than the backward. It uses a planetary mechanism with two inputs, the sun and the ring. The output is the arm. The inputs are provided by an intermittent mechanism, with one gear moving two others, one at a ti

The Peripheral Nervous System: Nerves and Sensory Organs
We've learned about one main division of the nervous system, the central nervous system, so let's learn about the other. That's the peripheral nervous system. This is the part that receives information from your surroundings and brings it to the brain, and when the brain decides what to do

The Autonomic Nervous System: Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Divisions
We've learned quite a bit about the peripheral nervous system, which has a sensory division and a motor division. The latter is the one that tells the body what to do, and this is divided into the somatic nervous system, which involves voluntary motion, and the autonomic nervous system, wh

What is a Graph Cycle? | Graph Theory, Cycles, Cyclic Graphs, Simple Cycles
What is a graph cycle? In graph theory, a cycle is a way of moving through a graph. We can think of a cycle as being a sequence of vertices in a graph, such that consecutive vertices are adjacent, and all vertices are distinct except for the first and last vertex, which are required to be
