Honeycombs (geometry)

Order-5 5-cell honeycomb

In the geometry of hyperbolic 4-space, the order-5 5-cell honeycomb is one of five compact regular space-filling tessellations (or honeycombs). With Schläfli symbol {3,3,3,5}, it has five 5-cells around each face. Its dual is the 120-cell honeycomb, {5,3,3,3}. (Wikipedia).

Character Tables for S5 and A5

Representation Theory of Finite Groups: We compute the character tables of S5, the symmetric group on 5 letters, and A5, the subgroup of even permutations. We note that A5 is isomorphic to the group of rigid motions of an icosahedron.

Diamond is an arrangement of carbon atoms called the diamond cubic structure. As well as the cubes there are two other space-filling shapes that are found within it. In the unit cell I say "three more inside". It should of course be "four more inside". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamo
