Matrix geometric method

In probability theory, the matrix geometric method is a method for the analysis of quasi-birth–death processes, continuous-time Markov chain whose transition rate matrices with a repetitive block structure. The method was developed "largely by Marcel F. Neuts and his students starting around 1975." (Wikipedia).

Understanding Matrices and Matrix Notation

In order to do linear algebra, we will have to know how to use matrices. So what's a matrix? It's just an array of numbers listed in a grid of particular dimensions that can represent the coefficients and constants from a system of linear equations. They're fun, I promise! Let's just start

Geometric Algebra - The Matrix Representation of a Linear Transformation

In this video, we will show how matrices as computational tools may conveniently represent the action of a linear transformation upon a given basis. We will prove that conventional matrix operations, particularly matrix multiplication, conform to the composition of linear transformations.

Inverse of a matrix

There are two very easy ways of calculating the inverse of a square matrix in sympy in python. In this video I show you both methods. The first involves creating a rectangular matrix by adding a similarly sized identity matrix to the right and performing elementary row operations until r
