Higher order grammar

Higher order grammar (HOG) is a grammar theory based on higher-order logic. It can be viewed simultaneously as generative-enumerative (like categorial grammar and principles and parameters) or model theoretic (like head-driven phrase structure grammar or lexical functional grammar). (Wikipedia).

High-Order Ordinary Differential Equations with More Derivatives (from Physics)

Here we show how to derive higher-order differential equation systems, with higher-order derivatives, from F=ma by chaining together simple systems. Our example is combining two spring-mass systems to get a fourth order equation. Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMrJAk

Learn how naively copying a grammar file from one parser generator to another won't work. Go back to the beginning and learn about lexers vs parsers, but discover that the power of interpolation changes the computational complexity and forces the lexer to be a push-down automata instead of

T. Ozuch - Noncollapsed degeneration and desingularization of Einstein 4-manifolds

We study the noncollapsed singularity formation of Einstein 4-manifolds. We prove that any smooth Einstein 4-manifold close to a singular one in a mere Gromov-Hausdorff (GH) sense is the result of a gluing-perturbation procedure that we develop. This sheds light on the structure of the mod
