Differential equations | Surfaces
In differential geometry, a breather surface is a one-parameter family of mathematical surfaces which correspond to breather solutions of the sine-Gordon equation, a differential equation appearing in theoretical physics. The surfaces have the remarkable property that they have constant curvature , where the curvature is well-defined. This makes them examples of generalized pseudospheres. (Wikipedia).
Geyser Exhibit I Exploratorium
Geyser is a working model of a natural geyser. A large bowl of water is supported over a long, thin tube which runs down to a glass chamber filled with water heated by a heating element. As the water in the chamber begins to boil, air and water are shot up the tube into the air. Cool water

Kink dynamics in the $\phi^4$ model: asymptotic stability for odd perturbations in the energy space We consider a classical equation $\[\phi_{tt}-\phi_{xx}=\phi-\phi^3,\quad (t,x)\in\RR\times\RR\] known as the $\phi^4$ model in one space dimension. The kink, defined by $H(x)=\tanh(x/{\sqr
