The sulfate chlorides are double salts containing both sulfate (SO42–) and chloride (Cl–) anions. They are distinct from the chlorosulfates, which have a chlorine atom attached to the sulfur as the ClSO3− anion. Many minerals in this family exist. Many are found associated with volcanoes and fumaroles. As minerals they are included in the Nickel-Strunz classification group 7.DG. The book, Hey's Chemical Index of Minerals groups these in subgroup 12.2. (Wikipedia).
A Level Chemistry Revision "Testing for Sulfate Ions"
In this video, we look at how to test for the presence of the sulfate ion. First we look at the sulfate test. We then explore the advantage of using barium nitrate rather than barium chloride. Finally, we look at how to deal with the presence of carbonate ions, which can give a false posit

Strong and Weak Alkali's | Acids, Bases & Alkali's | Chemistry | FuseSchool
An acid is a substance that will dissociate in water to give a proton (or H+ ion) and a conjugate base. An acid is considered to be strong if dissociation nears 100%, and weak if dissociation is usually less than 1%. In this lesson, we will learn about strong alkalis and weak alkalis.
