Sigma-t is a quantity used in oceanography to measure the density of seawater at a given temperature. σT is defined as ρ(S,T)-1000 kg m−3, where ρ(S,T) is the density of a sample of seawater at temperature T and salinity S, measured in kg m−3, at standard atmospheric pressure. For example, a water sample with a density of 1.027 g/cm3 has a σT value of 27. (Wikipedia).

👉 Learn how to find the partial sum of an arithmetic series. A series is the sum of the terms of a sequence. An arithmetic series is the sum of the terms of an arithmetic sequence. The formula for the sum of n terms of an arithmetic sequence is given by Sn = n/2 [2a + (n - 1)d], where a is

How to write the rule of a sum in sigma notation
👉 Learn how to write the rule of a series in sigma notation. A series is the sum of the terms of a sequence. When given a series that is neither arithmetic nor geometric, we can write the rule for the series by first identifying the patterns between the terms of the series, and then we can

Change of Variables in Integration in R^n
If S is an isometry, then |det S| = 1. If T is an operator on R^n, then T changes volume by a factor of |det T|. This result leads to the change of varibales formula in integration in R^n.
