Shadowing lemma

In the theory of dynamical systems, the shadowing lemma is a lemma describing the behaviour of pseudo-orbits near a hyperbolic invariant set. Informally, the theory states that every pseudo-orbit (which one can think of as a numerically computed trajectory with rounding errors on every step) stays uniformly close to some true trajectory (with slightly altered initial position)—in other words, a pseudo-trajectory is "shadowed" by a true one. Orbit stabilizer theorem

Notwithstanding the fact that I introduce the topic as the orbit stabilizer syndrome, this video takes you through the orbit stabilizer theorem. :-) It states that the number of cosets formed by the stabilizer of a group (called the index) is the same as the number of elements in the orbi

Pre-Calculus - Where is a function continuous

This video covers how you can tell if a function is continuous or not using an informal definition for continuity. Later in the video, we look at a function that is not continuous for all values, but is continuous for certain intervals. For more videos visit http://www.mysecretmathtutor.
