Most sources talk about Schwarzschild black holes, but those don't spin. Most are what we call Kerr black holes, or rotating black holes, surrounded by a region called an ergosphere. The spacetime around them is not only stretched, but also twisted, leading to some strange phenomena. _____

Strange Properties of Spinning Black Holes - Kerr Metric, General Relativity, Physics Explained
Hey everyone, I'm back with a video about black holes! This time, we're talking about spinning (rotating) black holes, and their rather interesting characteristics. The mathematical (and theoretical) properties of a rotating black hole are described by the Kerr metric. This metric is a s

Making Black Holes is HARDER than you think!
Black holes aren't just a product of general relativity, but also require quantum mechanics. In this video, we'll take a look at how the Pauli exclusion principle and Heisenberg uncertainty principle apply to black holes. Making a black hole is actually quite difficult. ___________________
