In mathematics, a rigid analytic space is an analogue of a complex analytic space over a nonarchimedean field. Such spaces were introduced by John Tate in 1962, as an outgrowth of his work on uniformizing p-adic elliptic curves with bad reduction using the multiplicative group. In contrast to the classical theory of p-adic analytic manifolds, rigid analytic spaces admit meaningful notions of analytic continuation and connectedness. (Wikipedia).
On the Rigidity of Black Holes - Sergiu Klainerman

Werner Müller : Analytic torsion for locally symmetric spaces of finite volume
Abstract : This is joint work with Jasmin Matz. The goal is to introduce a regularized version of the analytic torsion for locally symmetric spaces of finite volume and higher rank. Currently we are able to treat quotients of the symmetric space SL(n,ℝ)/SO(n) by congruence subgroups of SL(

Abstract: Let M be a complete, connected Riemannian surface and suppose that S is a discrete subset of M. What can we learn about M from the knowledge of all distances in the surface between pairs of points of S? We prove that if the distances in S correspond to the distances in a 2-dimens
