In mathematics, or more specifically in spectral theory, the Riesz projector is the projector onto the eigenspace corresponding to a particular eigenvalue of an operator (or, more generally, a projector onto an invariant subspace corresponding to an isolated part of the spectrum). It was introduced by Frigyes Riesz in 1912. (Wikipedia).

Ch 6: What are bras and bra-ket notation? | Maths of Quantum Mechanics
Hello! This is the sixth chapter in my series "Maths of Quantum Mechanics." In this episode, we'll intuitively understand what the bra is in quantum mechanics, and why we need it. We'll also finally justify the power of bra-ket notation, and its relation to the Riesz representation theore

Carl Zeiss S-planar lens pt.3: light collimation
Before the Carl Zeiss s-planar photo-lithography lens can be used as intended, it is necessary to find a way to get as much light as possible into the optical tube. Another aspect is the uniformity of the projection field. A simple diffuser plate does not work since it is very inefficient:

Riesz-Fischer theorem: Fourier Series of a (Riemann integrable) function converge to the original function - in the L2 sense. Consequence: Parseval's theorem: the L2 norm of the function is the l2 norm of its Fourier coefficients.
