6-polytopes

Rectified 6-orthoplexes

In six-dimensional geometry, a rectified 6-orthoplex is a convex uniform 6-polytope, being a rectification of the regular 6-orthoplex. There are unique 6 degrees of rectifications, the zeroth being the 6-orthoplex, and the 6th and last being the 6-cube. Vertices of the rectified 6-orthoplex are located at the edge-centers of the 6-orthoplex. Vertices of the birectified 6-orthoplex are located in the triangular face centers of the 6-orthoplex. Introduction to Diode Rectifiers | What Is 3-Phase Power? -- Part 5

In 3-phase electrical power systems, the AC system is commonly connected to a DC system. The process of converting AC to DC is known as rectification. You will learn: - The operating principle of a single diode acting as a half-wave rectifier - How an H-bridge rectifier operates as a full

Frédéric Mangolte: Algebraic models of the line in the real affine plane

Abstract: We study the following real version of the famous Abhyankar-Moh Theorem: Which real rational map from the affine line to the affine plane, whose real part is a non-singular real closed embedding of ℝ into ℝ^2, is equivalent, up to a birational diffeomorphism of the plane, to the

Quaternions as 4x4 Matrices - Connections to Linear Algebra

In math, it's usually possible to view an object or concept from many different (but equivalent) angles. In this video, we will see that the quaternions may be viewed as 4x4 real-valued matrices of a special form. What is interesting here is that if you know how to multiply matrices, you a
