Mathematical software | Polyhedra | Computational geometry
Polymake is software for the algorithmic treatment of convex polyhedra. Albeit primarily a tool to study the combinatorics and the geometry of convex polytopes and polyhedra, it is by now also capable of dealing with simplicial complexes, matroids, polyhedral fans, graphs, tropical objects, toric varieties and other objects. Polymake has been cited in over 100 recent articles indexed by Zentralblatt MATH as can be seen from its entry in the swMATH database. (Wikipedia).
Michael Joswig - What is Mathematical Software
What Is Mathematical Software? A short answer to this question is: Mathematical Software is what mathematics receives as a benefit from the digital age. This is relevant because Mathematical Software is useful in many ways. For instance, Mathematical Software serves as a tool to support

Graham ELLIS - Computational group theory, cohomology of groups and topological methods 2
The lecture series will give an introduction to the computer algebra system GAP, focussing on calculations involving cohomology. We will describe the mathematics underlying the algorithms, and how to use them within GAP. Alexander Hulpke's lectures will being with some general computation

👉 Learn about polygons and how to classify them. A polygon is a plane shape bounded by a finite chain of straight lines. A polygon can be concave or convex and it can also be regular or irregular. A concave polygon is a polygon in which at least one of its interior angles is greater than 1

Michael Joswig: Generalized permutahedra and optimal auctions
We study a family of convex polytopes, called SIM-bodies, which were introduced by Giannakopoulos and Koutsoupias (2018) to analyze so-called Straight-Jacket Auctions. First, we show that the SIM-bodies belong to the class of generalized permutahedra. Second, we prove an optimality result

Henry Adams (8/30/21): Vietoris-Rips complexes of hypercube graphs
Questions about Vietoris-Rips complexes of hypercube graphs arise naturally from problems in genetic recombination, and also from Kunneth formulas for persistent homology with the sum metric. We describe the homotopy types of Vietoris-Rips complexes of hypercube graphs at small scale param
