Fiction set around neutron stars
"Neutron Tide" is a short story by British writer Arthur C. Clarke, first published in 1970 in Galaxy Science Fiction. It is among his shortest pieces of writing, consisting solely of a 2-page, detailed description of a futuristic scenario in order to use a pun as a punch-line, a play on the title of the United States' national anthem. The story was reprinted later in the 1978 Starlord summer special. (Wikipedia).

When a dying star is too massive to leave behind a white dwarf and not massive enough to leave behind a black hole, you get a neutron star (sometimes a pulsar). It's a very compact clump of neutrons surrounded by a very strong magnetic field. These things are crazy!! ______________________

Black Holes and Neutron Stars: A Merger in Space
The first detection of colliding black holes rocked the scientific world, establishing that gravitational waves are real and that we are able to measure them. More recently, scientists have achieved the first detection of colliding neutron stars, rocking the scientific world again and inau

Black Holes: Crash Course Astronomy #33
We’ve covered a lot of incredible stuff, but this week we’re talking about the weirdest objects in space: BLACK HOLES. Stellar-mass black holes form when a very massive star dies, and its core collapses. The core has to be more than about 2.8 times the Sun’s mass to form a black hole. Blac
