Mechanical load is the physical stress on a mechanical system or component. Loads can be static or dynamic. Some loads are specified as part of the design criteria of a mechanical system. Depending on the usage, some mechanical loads can be measured by an appropriate test method in a laboratory or in the field. (Wikipedia).

An Introduction to Stress and Strain
This video is an introduction to stress and strain, which are fundamental concepts that are used to describe how an object responds to externally applied loads. Stress is a measure of the distribution of internal forces that develop within a body to resist these applied loads. There are

Introduction to Synchronous Generators | What Is 3-Phase Power? -- Part 8
The fundamental operational characteristic of a synchronous generator is that the electrical frequency is directly proportional, or synchronized, to mechanical rotational speed. This characteristic is a consequence of establishing a magnetic field on the rotor that stays aligned with the r
