Survival analysis | Statistical tests
The logrank test, or log-rank test, is a hypothesis test to compare the survival distributions of two samples. It is a nonparametric test and appropriate to use when the data are right skewed and censored (technically, the censoring must be non-informative). It is widely used in clinical trials to establish the efficacy of a new treatment in comparison with a control treatment when the measurement is the time to event (such as the time from initial treatment to a heart attack). The test is sometimes called the Mantel–Cox test. The logrank test can also be viewed as a time-stratified Cochran–Mantel–Haenszel test. The test was first proposed by Nathan Mantel and was named the logrank test by Richard and Julian Peto. (Wikipedia).
An Additive Combinatorics Approach to the Log-Rank Conjecture in... Complexity - Noga Zewi
Noga Zewi Technion February 27, 2012 For a (0,1}-valued matrix M let CC(M) denote he deterministic communication complexity of the boolean function associated with M. The log-rank conjecture of Lovasz and Saks [FOCS 1988] states that CC(M) less than =logc(rank(M))CC(M) less than=logc(rank(

👉 Learn how to evaluate basic logarithms. Recall that the logarithm of a number says a to the base of another number say b is a number say n which when raised as a power of b gives a. (i.e. log [base b] (a) = n means that b^n = a). Thus, to evaluate logarithms, we either rewrite the expres

Show that if f(x) = log(x/(x - 1)), then f(y + 1) + f(y) = log((y + 1)/(y - 1))
In this video we are given f(x) = log(x/(x - 1)) and we have to show that f(y + 1) + f(y) = log((y + 1)/(y - 1)). We do this by using properties of logarithms. I hope this helps someone who is learning algebra and studying logarithms. Basic Mathematics Book: https://amzn.to/3GN97j3 This i
