Isotomic conjugate

In geometry, the isotomic conjugate of a point P with respect to a triangle ABC is another point, defined in a specific way from P and ABC: If the base points of the lines PA, PB, and PC on the sides opposite A, B, and C are reflected about the midpoints of their respective sides, the resulting lines intersect at the isotomic conjugate of P. The Homework Problem That Started as a Phd Thesis: 14 set theorem

In a handful of introductory topology textbooks, Kuratowski's 14 set theorem is given as an exercise despite it being one of the results proven as a part of his phd thesis in 1922. This homework problem that started out as a phd thesis is not an easy exercise if you don't know how to think

Organic Chemistry - Ch 1: Basic Concepts (19 of 97) What is an Optical Isomer?

Visit http://ilectureonline.com for more math and science lectures! In this video I will explain what is an optical isomer: a mirror image of another. There are 2 types. Achiral-when the 2 are superimposable, and chiral-molecules that exhibit handedness. Next video in this series can be

Isomorphisms in abstract algebra

In this video I take a look at an example of a homomorphism that is both onto and one-to-one, i.e both surjective and injection, which makes it a bijection. Such a homomorphism is termed an isomorphism. Through the example, I review the construction of Cayley's tables for integers mod 4

What is an isosceles triangle

👉 Learn the essential definitions of triangles. A triangle is a polygon with three sides. Triangles are classified on the basis of their angles or on the basis of their side lengths. The classification of triangles on the bases of their angles are: acute, right and obtuse triangles. The cl

Bhatt-Morrow-Scholze have defined integral refinements $Z_p(i)$ of the syntomic cohomology of Fontaine-Messing and Kato. These objects arise as filtered Frobenius eigenspaces of absolute prismatic cohomology and should yield a theory of "p-adic étale motivic cohomology" -- for example, the
