Units of measurement by country
A number of units of measurement were used in Greece to measure length, mass, area, and capacity. In Greece, the metric system has been used since 1836 and was made compulsory in 1922. (Wikipedia).

QRM 10-1: The Greeks for Market Risk
Lesson 10 is devoted to the model building approach to market risk. To use such an approach, we need some basic tools from financial mathematics and basic risk management, an example being the Greeks and duration (which nevertheless is linked to the Greeks). For those of you who are not fa

Relativity 8 - the yardstick of spacetime
The final piece of the puzzle falls in place. Herman Minkowski showed that Special Relativity defines a spacetime invariant - the "proper time" - between two events. Einstein's insight into the equivalence between falling and floating allowed him to realize that this also applied to Genera

Momentum Does Not Have a Unit of Measurement - So Let's Make One! (Surprisingly Tricky)
Must we always write kg m/s? Why isn't there a more snappy unit of measurement for momentum? Hi everyone, I'm back with another video - this time discussing metrology! Metrology is the "science of measurement" and metrologists are the ones who decide what units of measurement we get to us
