Units of electrical capacitance
The farad (symbol: F) is the unit of electrical capacitance, the ability of a body to store an electrical charge, in the International System of Units (SI). It is named after the English physicist Michael Faraday (1791–1867). In SI base units 1 F = 1 kg−1⋅m−2⋅s4⋅A2. (Wikipedia).

Capacitors (3 of 9) What is a Farad? An Explanation
Gives a brief over view of what a farad is and how it relates to capacitance. The SI unit of capacitance is the farad (F), which is defined as one coulomb per volt (1 C/V). A capacitor is a passive electronic device that stores electric charge on its plates and electrical energy in its ele

Farads measuring capacitance: from fizzics org
In electronics capacitance is most commonly measured in microfarad 𝜇F, which is 10 to the power -6 Farad, or picofarad which is 10 to the power -12 Farad. The video explains how the Farad is defined and why these fractional values are most common.
