Excisive triad

In topology, a branch of mathematics, an excisive triad is a triple of topological spaces such that A, B are subspaces of X and X is the union of the interior of A and the interior of B. Note B is not required to be a subspace of A. (Wikipedia).

Juliet Cooke: Skein categories

In this talk we will talk about skein categories which are a categorical analogue of skein algebras based on coloured ribbon tangles. We shall then see how these skein categories satisfy excision and therefore fit within the framework of factorisation homology as k-linear factorisation hom

Injective, Surjective and Bijective Functions (continued)

This video is the second part of an introduction to the basic concepts of functions. It looks at the different ways of representing injective, surjective and bijective functions. Along the way I describe a neat way to arrive at the graphical representation of a function.
