In mathematics, especially operator theory, a convexoid operator is a bounded linear operator T on a complex Hilbert space H such that the closure of the numerical range coincides with the convex hull of its spectrum. An example of such an operator is a normal operator (or some of its generalization). A closely related operator is a spectraloid operator: an operator whose spectral radius coincides with its numerical radius. In fact, an operator T is convexoid if and only if is spectraloid for every complex number . (Wikipedia).
👉 Learn about polygons and how to classify them. A polygon is a plane shape bounded by a finite chain of straight lines. A polygon can be concave or convex and it can also be regular or irregular. A concave polygon is a polygon in which at least one of its interior angles is greater than 1

Eva Gallardo Gutiérrez: The invariant subspace problem: a concrete operator theory approach
Abstract: The Invariant Subspace Problem for (separable) Hilbert spaces is a long-standing open question that traces back to Jonhn Von Neumann's works in the fifties asking, in particular, if every bounded linear operator acting on an infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space has a non-

In this lesson we continue to follow Sakurai and discover the origin and nature of the quantum mechanical momentum operator. Using, arguably, elementary considerations of state translation in position, we discover momentum as the generator of translations. Then we discover the connection b
