Collision detection is the computational problem of detecting the intersection of two or more objects. Collision detection is a classic issue of computational geometry and has applications in various computing fields, primarily in computer graphics, computer games, computer simulations, robotics and computational physics. Collision detection algorithms can be divided into operating on 2D and 3D objects. (Wikipedia).

Building Collision Simulations: An Introduction to Computer Graphics
Collision detection systems show up in all sorts of video games and simulations. But how do you actually build these systems? Turns out that the key ideas behind these systems show up all over a field of computer science called computer graphics. We start off with the basics of animation

Solving Collision Problems with Momentum Conservation
This lesson quickly reviews the meaning of momentum conservation, explains in detail what an isolated system is, and then utilizes momentum conservation to solve three example problems. Problems include a hit-and-stick collision, a hit-and-bounce collisions, and a perfectly elastic collisi
