Closing (morphology)

In mathematical morphology, the closing of a set (binary image) A by a structuring element B is the erosion of the dilation of that set, where and denote the dilation and erosion, respectively. In image processing, closing is, together with opening, the basic workhorse of morphological noise removal. Opening removes small objects, while closing removes small holes. (Wikipedia).

Teach Astronomy - Galaxy Morphology

http://www.teachastronomy.com/ Galaxy morphology is the study of the shape and structure or just the appearance of galaxies. It's fairly simple information; we don't need to know the distance, the mass, the age, the size, or the redshift to do morphological work. Morphology cannot tell u

MOR102 - Morphological Operations

Morphological operations define how words can be modified, i.e. what type of operation is applied to change a word. This can be done by means of adding items or concatenating two or more entities or it can be achieved by non-concatenative operations that somehow modify the base. This unit
