In mathematics, a chiral algebra is an algebraic structure introduced by as a rigorous version of the rather vague concept of a chiral algebra in physics. In Chiral Algebras, Beilinson and Drinfeld introduced the notion of chiral algebra, which based on the pseudo-tensor category of D-modules. On the other hand, There is already a notion of vertex algebras based on formal power series. Chiral algebras on curves are essentially conformal vertex algebras. (Wikipedia).
Isomorphisms (Abstract Algebra)
An isomorphism is a homomorphism that is also a bijection. If there is an isomorphism between two groups G and H, then they are equivalent and we say they are "isomorphic." The groups may look different from each other, but their group properties will be the same. Be sure to subscribe s

Units in a Ring (Abstract Algebra)
The units in a ring are those elements which have an inverse under multiplication. They form a group, and this “group of units” is very important in algebraic number theory. Using units you can also define the idea of an “associate” which lets you generalize the fundamental theorem of ar

Isomorphisms in abstract algebra
In this video I take a look at an example of a homomorphism that is both onto and one-to-one, i.e both surjective and injection, which makes it a bijection. Such a homomorphism is termed an isomorphism. Through the example, I review the construction of Cayley's tables for integers mod 4

Dihedral Group (Abstract Algebra)
The Dihedral Group is a classic finite group from abstract algebra. It is a non abelian groups (non commutative), and it is the group of symmetries of a regular polygon. This group is easy to work with computationally, and provides a great example of one connection between groups and geo

Homomorphisms in abstract algebra
In this video we add some more definition to our toolbox before we go any further in our study into group theory and abstract algebra. The definition at hand is the homomorphism. A homomorphism is a function that maps the elements for one group to another whilst maintaining their structu
