Characteristic variety

In mathematical analysis, the characteristic variety of a P is an algebraic variety that is the zero set of the principal symbol of P in the cotangent bundle. It is invariant under a . The notion is also defined more generally in commutative algebra. A basic theorem says a characteristic variety is involutive. (Wikipedia).

What are the important things to know about the graph of a function

👉 Learn about the characteristics of a function. Given a function, we can determine the characteristics of the function's graph. We can determine the end behavior of the graph of the function (rises or falls left and rises or falls right). We can determine the number of zeros of the functi

Determine the domain, range and if a relation is a function

👉 Learn how to determine whether relations such as equations, graphs, ordered pairs, mapping and tables represent a function. A function is defined as a rule which assigns an input to a unique output. Hence, one major requirement of a function is that the function yields one and only one r

Will Sawin - Bounding the stalks of perverse sheaves in characteristic p via the (...)

The sheaf-function dictionary shows that many natural functions on the F_q-points of a variety over F_q can be obtained from l-adic sheaves on that variety. To obtain upper bounds on these functions, it is necessary to obtain upper bounds on the dimension of the stalks of these sheaves. In
