Buoyancy force is the defined as the force exerted on the body or an object when inserted in a fluid. Buoyancy force is based on the basic principle of pressure variation with depth, since pressure increases with depth. Hence buoyancy force arises as pressure on the bottom surface of the immersed object is greater than that at the top. Flow problems in buildings were studied since 700 B.C. Recent advancements in CFD and CAE have led to comprehensive calculation of buoyancy flows and flows in buildings. (Wikipedia).
Many objects float in water due to buoyancy. What happens to the buoyant force when you mix air and water? Watch this video to find out!

Buoyancy; Floating and Sinking
Instead of density this video will explain how to use buoyancy and the buoyant force to determine whether an object will float or sink in a fluid. This is done by comparing the weight of the object to the buoyant force from the fluid. The buoyant force is the upward force exerted by a flui
