Axiomatic quantum field theory | Operator algebras
In mathematics, a Borchers algebra or Borchers–Uhlmann algebra or BU-algebra is the tensor algebra of a vector space, often a space of smooth test functions. They were studied by H. J. Borchers, who showed that the Wightman distributions of a quantum field could be interpreted as a state, called a Wightman functional, on a Borchers algebra. A Borchers algebra with a state can often be used to construct an O*-algebra. The Borchers algebra of a quantum field theory has an ideal called the locality ideal, generated by elements of the form ab−ba for a and b having spacelike-separated support. The Wightman functional of a quantum field theory vanishes on the locality ideal, which is equivalent to the locality axiom for quantum field theory. (Wikipedia).
Group Definition (expanded) - Abstract Algebra
The group is the most fundamental object you will study in abstract algebra. Groups generalize a wide variety of mathematical sets: the integers, symmetries of shapes, modular arithmetic, NxM matrices, and much more. After learning about groups in detail, you will then be ready to contin

Definition of a group Lesson 24
In this video we take our first look at the definition of a group. It is basically a set of elements and the operation defined on them. If this set of elements and the operation defined on them obey the properties of closure and associativity, and if one of the elements is the identity el
