Alt-Ergo

Alt-Ergo is an automatic solver for mathematical formulas, specifically designed for program verification. It is based on satisfiability modulo theories (SMT) and distributed under an open-source license (CeCILL-C). Its original authors were Sylvain Conchon and Evelyne Contejean, at LRI, but it is now developed and maintained at OCamlPro. (Wikipedia).

Definition of a Surjective Function and a Function that is NOT Surjective

We define what it means for a function to be surjective and explain the intuition behind the definition. We then do an example where we show a function is not surjective. Surjective functions are also called onto functions. Useful Math Supplies https://amzn.to/3Y5TGcv My Recording Gear ht

Definition of an Injective Function and Sample Proof

We define what it means for a function to be injective and do a simple proof where we show a specific function is injective. Injective functions are also called one-to-one functions. Useful Math Supplies https://amzn.to/3Y5TGcv My Recording Gear https://amzn.to/3BFvcxp (these are my affil

What is the antiderivative of cosx

👉 Learn how to find the antiderivative (integral) of a function. The integral, also called antiderivative, of a function, is the reverse process of differentiation. Integral of a function can be evaluated as an indefinite integral or as a definite integral. A definite integral is an integr

The Importance of Atonement

The idea of ‘atonement’ sounds very old-fashioned and is deeply rooted in religious tradition. To atone means, in essence, to acknowledge one’s capacity for wrongness and one’s readiness for apology and desire for change. It’s a concept that every society needs at its center. For gifts and

Seyyed Hossein Nasr - Arguing God from Being?

This ontological and much-debated argument for God's existence claims that a 'Perfect Being' must exist because 'existence' is a perfection. The newer 'Modal Ontological Argument' claims that if a 'Necessary Being' could conceivably exist - in any possible world - a Necessary Being (being

Group automorphisms in abstract algebra

Group automorphisms are bijective mappings of a group onto itself. In this tutorial I define group automorphisms and introduce the fact that a set of such automorphisms can exist. This set is proven to be a subgroup of the symmetric group. You can learn more about Mathematica on my Udem
