Analytic functions

Algebroid function

In mathematics, an algebroid function is a solution of an algebraic equation whose coefficientsare analytic functions. So y(z) is an algebroid function if it satisfies where are analytic. If this equation is irreducible then the function is d-valued,and can be defined on a Riemann surface having d sheets. * v * t * e (Wikipedia).

Markus Pflaum: The transverse index theorem for proper cocompact actions of Lie groupoids

The talk is based on joint work with H. Posthuma and X. Tang. We consider a proper cocompact action of a Lie groupoid and define a higher index pairing between invariant elliptic differential operators and smooth groupoid cohomology classes. We prove a cohomological index formula for this

Evaluating a piecewise function with transformations

👉 Learn how to evaluate a piecewise function. A piecewise function is a function which uses different rules for different intervals. When evaluating a piecewise function, pay attention to the constraints of each function as you can only evaluate for the equation which falls within the cons
